Tuesday 30 April 2013

6.00pm - 9.00pm

BCS , First Floor, The Davidson Building, 5 Southampton Street, London , WC2E 7HA

Dr Emma Langman

Free to attend for both BCS Member and non-members

In this high-paced and entertaining session, Dr Emma Langman will share some of the secrets of "change magic" that you can take away and use to create the team that you need for your Agile future.  According to Emma, most of what is taught in Change Management theory is old-fashioned and no longer applies to today's multi-generational workforce.  Not only that, she believes that the idea that people "hate change" is an utter nonsense!  Expect to enjoy a fast-moving presentation and then feel free to bring your own challenges and questions for some practical suggestions and ideas from Emma and your fellow delegates.

Dr Emma Langman is the "Change Magician" at Progression Partnership.  She calls herself that because she blends a range of business improvement, psychology and systems thinking ideas together to help create sustainable Change.  She is a former Civil Engineer who became the Efficiency and Performance Lead for Atkins Highways Services (which included IT projects). In 2009 she set up her own consultancy to focus on Change Magic!  Emma mostly works in Retail, Oil & Gas, Local Government and with charities.  She is married with 3 children.
