Amateur Satellites

Wednesday 11 March 2009

2.30pm to 3.30pm

Quinton Gee, from University of Southampton.

Southampton Solent University, Herbert Collins Building, room HC 031. Map

Organised by the BCS Hampshire Branch and the Southampton Solent University.

Since the earliest days of spaceflight, the amateurs have followed the professionals, although with limited resources and targets.

There is much that the amateur can contribute: building, tracking, listening to telemetry, monitoring propagation, and just having fun sending and receiving messages, voice, TV and data. Come and hear how you could be involved.

This event is free, no booking required, and open to all. This is aimed at teachers, parents and the particularly the general public that are interested in this topic.
