Dr Glyn Hayes has been awarded this year’s John Perry prize by the Primary Healthcare Special Interest Group of the British Computer Society.

Dr Hayes was awarded the prize, which has run since 1984, for his lifetime achievements in the leading the development of health informatics in primary care over 25 years through his work as a GP, in the supplier sector and promoting health informatics as a profession.

Dr Hayes is chairman of the BCS Health Informatics Forum and president of the UK Council for Health Informatics Professions.
