BCS EGM: Arguments for and against

Wednesday 9 June 2010

Update: The results of the EGM have now been announced. In a nutshell, all the propositions proposed by Len Keighley have been defeated. Also, a proposition to amend the constitution of the BCS to require 2% of all members to trigger an EGM in the future was withdrawn by the chairman pending further consultation.

The BCS is facing a call for an EGM from 50 members, led by former BCS Trustee Len Keighley. Computer Weekly have summarised the 20 points put forward for the EGM, with comments from the BCS and from Len Keighley in their article "The EGM debate: BCS v Len Keighley".
