Security is sometime seen as a technology to keep the bad guys away.

Mark will discuss how security is more about management of risk to information and processes. There will be a discussion about the new challenge to demonstrate control of risk to shareholders and existing threats such as viruses that need to be managed.

Mark is an Information Security Manager for IBM Global Services providing support to one of IBM's largest outsourcing deals in banking. He is a teacher for IBM's Method for Architecting Secure Solutions and has performed a wide range of security roles involving security product development, security architecture and information risk management.
