Organised by BCS Hampshire Branch and Southampton Solent University, jointly with BCS e-Learning, Open Source and BCSWomen SGs.

This event is free, open to all, but please book as spaces limited. For BCS members and non-members.

Booking required, as limited spaces, via as we are using a laboratory, so there is no need to bring your own equipment, please put BCS Hampshire Editathon November in the subject link. We can make arrangements if you need to arrive late - just let Nick know your approximate arrival time when you book.

Get involved, as a researcher or a techie ( you only need to be able to handle drop down windows), - this is not just for women - no prior knowledge required.

If possible, undertake research for information about subjects on Wikimedia's list of women, alive or dead, as role models, to have material (book reference, web page etc) ready for adding to their pages on Wikipedia during the Editathon. You can bring your research on paper or memory stick, but include references. The text will need to be reworded so not a direct copy from the source. If you have any questions, do ask me. There will be some research already undertaken which you could use in the editathon, if you have not been able to bring some - no prior technical knowledge needed.
