Floating Ideas

The theme for this years BCS Learning & Development specialist group AGM is ‘Floating Ideas’.

Never has their been a more important time for Learning and Development in IT. Apprenticeships are at the heart of the new government’s agenda and one of the primary professions being focused on for rapid development of new skills is IT. The Digital Trailblazer Apprenticeships programme amongst other initiatives will require everyone in the industry with a passion for IT skills development to get involved.

In this special event we will be bringing together the training directors from many leading IT vendors and a keynote speaker from The Tech Partnership to seek new ways to work together to accelerate digital skills development.

And to encourage new ideas we are going to do it whilst cruising on the Thames.

  • 4.00pm-4.30pm Attendees arrive with coffee/tea and biscuits available
  • 4.30pm  Formal Event with Keynote from The Tech Partnership:
‘Can we address the IT skills gap through industry engagement with educational standards and qualifications?’
