This talk will cover the principles behind the design and implementation of data and storage network infrastructures and how systems connect to them. The fundamental principles of data transmission, reliability and performance apply across networks ranging from a few computers in an office at home to a large data centre. Understanding the principles and techniques allow you to plan ahead when designing and implementing networks, thus allowing you to minimise the need for wide ranging changes as your network infrastructure requirements evolve.
