World Scratch Day @ The Museum of Computing

Saturday 19 May 2012

9.30 am - 5.00pm

The Museum of Computing, 6 - 7 Theatre Square, Swindon, SN1 1QN

Organised by the BCS Wiltshire Branch and the Museum of Computing.

The Wiltshire Branch held a Scratch programming competition last year for the youth of the locality, using Scratch, a programming language designed for children to enable them to create games, animations and stories.

Scratch Day is a worldwide network of gatherings, where people come together to meet others with the same itch (called Scratchers), share projects and experiences, and learn more about Scratch.

As part of this year's Scratch Day on Saturday 19 May, the Swindon's Museum of Computing are holding a day of events including:

  • Games Programming Workshop (places limited and must be pre-booked)
  • Drop in sessions to learn about Scratch
  • Meet the Children's Club
  • A Scratch Competition.
