If you have harbored thoughts about having your own games company then chances are you are full of ideas about the types of games you want to make. Rather than focus on that, this talk will look at some of the practical, legal and financial considerations involved in setting up a new company in the games space, with a focus on the digital download sector.

John Chasey is Co-Founder Finblade & Metismo. John is an entrepreneur in the mobile and games space having extensive experience in both startup businesses and large corporations. He identified the potential of the mobile phone as a games platform in 2000 and led to his founding of a new company IOMO. After significant success including three BAFTA nominations and two successive 'Best Mobile Studio' awards, John joined Infospace as part of IOMO's acquisition for $15m at the end of 2004.
