The Global Game Jam is the biggest game development event in the world.

The 2014 GGJ created 4,289 games from 73 countries, and this year Southampton is going to contribute.

Full details and free tickets for this Southampton event are available at  both for BCS members and non-members  as the numbers are limited.

The Hampshire event will be hosted at the Highfield Campus, and we're aiming to bring together programmers, artists, designers, audio engineers, writers and others to create fun games in 48 hours. These can include video games, board games, and card games, so whatever your skills and interests you’re bound to find something that works for you.

Teams will be formed on the Friday evening, and the theme will be announced to help guide the entries.

Whether you’re a seasoned game developer or have never done it before, and whatever your specific skills, we’re sure you’ll have a good time and we’re looking forward to seeing the games produced.
