Date:
Tuesday 5 February 2013

Synopsis:

Network Rail is one of the country's largest infrastructure owners and is currently undertaking a £325m transformation programme, titled ORBIS, to improve their approaches to the acquisition, storage and usage of asset information.

A key problem for any organisation with remote/field based staff is ensuring that they have suitable access to the data and information needed to do their jobs and also that they can easily provide data on work undertaken etc. This presentation by three members of the ORBIS team is available on YouTube.
